“A man born on March 22nd of common years has a strongly pronounced peculiarity, trait: he is all somehow bloodless, currentless, half-dead. Others might think that he does not live in the usual sense of the word, but rather exists based on the principle “neither dead nor alive.” When looking at him, one begins to remember stories about zombies, people who died, but then some African sorcerer resurrected them and they came back to life. Similar characters are found in many ancient legends.

For example, it is told that the ancient Jewish rabbis could use any material or natural element (clay, sand, water, fire) to create an analogue of a human, a golem that was very similar to an alive, a real person. This human analog was able to walk, talk, and give responses adequate to situations. However, despite purely external similarity and resemblance, and seemingly complete identicality this was not a human. As far as the considered individual, in spite of all observable signs of life, his behavior reminds of that of a golem. He moves his arms and legs mechanically, says something and eats something, does something and communicates with someone, but he does all of this in such a way that it is as if in front of us is a resurrected deadman, just a body. It is as if this person’s blood was drained and all of his life energy was sucked out of him. Remarkably, he is like this since birth, and so it is useless to try to attribute this fact to some external conditions, influence of other people, and events in his life. It is as if at the time of this person’s birth, the invisible creator forgot to breathe the soul into him. For this reason, he is characterized by coldness, ice-like calmness, and everything that people call soulless. This specifically creates an impression of a corpse at a morgue, which has familiar external parameters and is still fresh, but is no longer alive. He is not involved; he is calm, silent, indifferent to everything and everyone, including himself. He is no longer in a hurry to go somewhere or do something, no longer wants anything in this life. This person’s behavior and life philosophy somewhat reminds of famous characters from the well-known American movie called The Addams Family. They are all so cheerful and joyful, but when they put a bouquet of flowers in a vase, they cutoff the flower buds, and admire beheaded sticks. A man born on March 22nd of common years sees himself and others as potential fertilizer, as that material, from which after death a burdock or some other plant will grow; it is as if while still alive he considers everyone, including his own self in terms of utilization mechanisms that exist in nature.

This person can be described as an apologist of death, who not only does not reject, but also defends and in fact praises this phenomenon. Like the great Plato, he is convinced that the body is the prison of the soul. He thinks that one can become immortal only by becoming free from the mortal flesh. He thinks that the soul should be free, and if this is so, then death of the body is a normal, even a positive phenomenon. This man is not afraid of death and it does not repel him; on the contrary, it raises his interest and even causes some enthusiasm. The theme of death (and everything connected with it) gets him hyped up, attracts, and draws his attention and thoughts like a magnet. This man is deeply concerned with the mystical process of transition from life to death, the process of transition from one state to a qualitatively different state, from one world to another; he is interested in questions that can be attributed to philosophy of death. In order to understand these questions, he reads a variety of materials on this subject—from obituaries and chronicles in low-grade tabloids, “yellow” press, to classical philosophical works. With a genuine interest, considered person also acquaints himself with various scientific research on this topic. In addition to scientific research, which highlights the theme of death from its own angle, this person might also be interested in mystical works, which open the curtain that conceals it from another angle. He might also be interested in how death is considered in various religious cults of antiquity and modernity. This person is interested in descriptions of battles with a great deal of bloodshed and battles from history, which were marked by a huge number of fatalities. In addition, in all of such type of historical descriptions of events related to wars and battles, this person is particularly attracted to descriptions of those historical figures (rulers, leaders, generals, etc.), who led a nation or part of a nation to a similar tragic and bloody outcome. He is extremely interested in stories about people who like kamikazes, samurais, and shahids go to their deaths. He might be interested in crime stories of bloody offenses, as well as main figures of these stories, the so-called “maniacs of the century” and “killers of the century.” A man born on March 22nd of common years is interested in absolutely everything that leads to death of a person or historical events, material objects, natural phenomena, and so on related to it…”
